AssistNOW, a division of Recovery Resources, has been helping individuals and organizations access high quality mental health care and addiction counseling services for more than 30 years. Our employee assistance program is a comprehensive program designed to assist in the early identification and resolution of productivity problems associated with employees and their covered dependents that are impaired or likely to be impaired by personal problems such as:- Chemical Dependency or Other Addictions
- Emotional and Behavioral Problems
- Work Related Stress
- Marital or Family Relationships (including aging parents)
Why does my company provide this program?
At some point this year, 10% of employees will have a family, marital, stress-related, financial or emotional problem serious enough to affect their job performance. Untreated, these employees increase the cost of doing business for a company through repeated absenteeism, accidents, medical claims and deteriorating job performance, perhaps even causing disruption in the workplace. Additionally, family members of troubled employees over utilize medical resources, seeking to cope with stress induced and related physical symptoms. The use of an Employee Assistance Program lets the employer take a proactive approach to these issues by promoting prevention-oriented activities and avoid drawing on high-cost health care programs.How do I, as an employer, benefit from an employee assistance program?

The AssistNOW program may be purchased by employers under an annual contract at a capitated rate, and all EAP services are inclusive of this rate, or they may be purchased unbundled. The program is a employer pre-paid benefit, and there is no cost to the employee or their covered dependents to utilize the program.How do I make an appointment with AssistNOW?
The office hours for the Employee Assistance Program are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, evening appointments are available upon request. In the case of an emergency, a counselor is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To schedule an appointment, the employee or family member would call 216-431-4140 or 800-966-4152.AssistNOW guarantees appointment scheduling within two ( 2 ) working days for all non-emergency clients and same day or within 24-hours for all crisis/trauma clients.
