Supervisor Training
To ensure the program's success, it is imperative that your supervisors be trained to identify problems, intervene without creating liability, and to properly support the policy. It's important to select a service provider that will help your supervisors obtain the knowledge and skills that they need to uphold and implement the Drug-Free Safety Program. Through our training sessions, supervisors will learn how to:
- Recognize, document and confront possible substance problems.
- Initiate reasonable-suspicion testing and how to refer an employee to available resources;
- Follow up with employees re-entering the work setting after a positive test;
- Handle program responsibilities consistent with any active collective-bargaining agreements;
- Refer for testing, including transportation.
